im plannin to spend about 5k on my civic lx 99' d16y7 automatic. so far, i have a short ram intake... and thats it, i dunno which parts to get, im plannin on changing the headers, catalytic converter, exhaust system, intake manifold and you guys fill in the rest. im trying to get it at least 130 if possible with that much amount without a turbo. any advice will do .

thanks for the info, also, id like to know if a b18c intake manifold will bolt on correctly onto my engine? and if it is worth getting?

you mean .. whats the diff between a turbo and a supercharger ? turbos use a turbine turned by exhaust gas to blow lots and lot of air into your motor and a supercharger uses a belt driven pulley instead of a metal turbine ... there are other differences but i dont feel like elaborating .. maybe some other people can explain it better ...

nah, i worked my ass off for that 5k as for the car, it was a gift. all i have to say is that i hate buses :-/ and am truly grateful for my car. come on, how many here can say theyve worked at a nursing home, earned and saved 5 k? its a tough job keepin the elderly entertained :p

thanks guys, alright ive been reading up so apparently i can switch my parts with y8 parts? someone please elaborate on this. and if so, whats a good site/place where i can order used parts that are in good condition? or new parts which ever.

this site .. people are always selling used y8 parts for cheap cheap ... just check the classified forum ... and try lookin in junkyards ... start to scour junkyards and try to find the best parts u can .. never buy the first thing u see .. not a good idea ... chances are some other junkyard will have the same piece for a cheaper
