What are the best ways to get torque from the D17?

Either swap for a K or go CRVTEC if you don't have alot of money.

Oh, I didn't catch that it was a 7th Gen. That would make sense though considering that this is the 7th gen thread. Doh, should have looked closer.

K's are so expensive. I was wondering what I could do for my 7th gen. Now I'm getting a new car. 99-00 ex. Woohoo!!!

^^^^^ More or less. You really only have 2 kinds of hybrid motors not including mismatching B16 blocks w/ B18C heads and vice versa. The first is the CRVTEC, which is the B20 block from a CRV and either a B16 or B18C cylinder head. Then you have the LSVTEC, which is the B18A/B block with a B16 or B18C cylinder head.

To answer your exact question (which swapping would not be an answer, since you are asking the best way to get torque out of a D17, not how to get more torque out of a 7th gen) would be to boost it.
