I see one problem that needs to be address a D2B setup. Also what turbo your planning to run? Will the head flow like BISI and SpeedFactory lol? Gonna run a traction bar? What tires pointless to have all that power if your not even gonna hook at all. What about a oil cooler in there. Gonna run a cutout. Will it be caged? Who will tune it beta be pretty darn good. I like your power goal makes me jealous I will be checking up on this one.

while waiting for the block and other parts I've been working on my wire tuck and other miscellaneous stuff.
In order to conceal the harness I decided to run most of it under the dash and drill a hole in the firewall. This is how I dealt with honda's circular harness design that used to run and connect in the engine bay..

stock harness:

a little rearranging:

new general shape (the left half, including those moved connectors, will now be under the dash):

the right half will stick through the new hole in the firewall and 'sneak' up from under the engine

here is a close up of the part of the harness that runs through the firewall now. as you can see it got considerably skinnier once I removed the automatic plugs and wires. under it is a stock automatic harness that i pulled off another car.

rerouted the driver's side harness and extra wiring:

where they now run through the fender:

everything became a little easier with the air boxes out of the way:

found a nice, heavy, air-blocking ac contraption in front of the blower, which will no longer be needed.

I can't even imagine how much better my heater will blow with that out of the way.

also got a couple goodies:

a couple years ago I bought a t3/t4 AR50 63 trim turbo, ramhorn manifold, 40mm greddy style wastegate and bov. this was a while back, i dont feel that they will do for my current goals.

good questions. with regards to the d2b, im pretty committed to this ex tranny since i bought it from autingsx who lives in texas, got a quaife lsd in it, and also bought my clutch already.
about the head, i doubt it will flow anything close to BISI or SpeedFactory, but I am having a well-trusted local take care of it. I'm sure he'll do a decent job.
unfortunately the traction bar, new tires, and cage are going to have to wait until more money comes, but i am not too concerned since I will not be boosting right away.
I never put too much thought into getting an oil cooler, but i suppose it wouldnt be hard to do now that i got that new sandwich plate.
a friend of mine had his aem ems tuned by a guy who lives fairly close. he did a good job and will probably be who i go with. I completely understand the concern though.
Hope to hear from you again soon!

Awesome project man. Subscribed.
Nice, GL w/ the build :TU:
thanks guys

nothing much to report, ill be sure to update as updates occur. i plan to do some work on it tomorrow. still waiting for parts to come in
sad story, i finally found a donor car with everything i needed for my auto-manual swap, but when i came back to pull the parts they had crushed it.. with that said, I am currently looking for an intake manifold and tb off of a 5spd d16y8.

EDIT: found one!
very nice let me know how u make out also did u have to extend the head light wiring harness.?

no, not for the headlights, there were holes that worked out perfectly and the wires were already plenty long. it actually seemed as though honda designed it to get tucked haha

I'd rather not switch to a z6, but thanks though man. I've had a few nice members offer their y8 manifolds for decent prices, so hopefully that will work out. but if anyone else out there is selling their 5spd y8 intake mainfold and tb shoot me a pm.

Thanks man! I've been getting a little lazy lately since I'm waiting for so many parts (that I thought should be here by now). Maybe Ill work more on the battery and fuse box relocation.
