So i plastigauged my bearings tonight, turns out all of the mains are .04 across the board. And the rods are too tight as well .04 thousanths. Looks like im going to need atleast .04 (if not .06) undersized bearings im guessing that OEM honda colors is the only way to go..

I think cervan not doing something right.

Since if I'm reading right, those specs are right at the upper edge for NEW bearings.

so these are aftermarket bearings?
where your journal measurements within spec? are you sure you have the right bearings for your crank?

is this motor you just pulled out of the car or motor your rebuilding??

I think cervan not doing something right.

According to the manual, the clearances should be .0008 - .0015 (roughly) for the main bearings i havent tried the rod's.

EDIT: i was reading the MM's :hammer: the Thousanths should be about .020 - .040 So your right bone im right at the edge of a new bearing. (even though i still have .05 thousanths for the service limit.) Looking good :D.

This engine was rebuilt by me with an A6 crankshaft swapped into it.
