yep - think I am being a noob again.

My setup is D15B VTEC with a D16y9 crank pulley.

I have searched this with no real answer.
People seem to think D16 and D15 pulleys are they same? (Or so thats what I though as well)

The white mark will not light up with the gun sight on the cam belt cover if the piston 1 is at TDC (its a few mm or teeth out)

So setting timing with a timing light is a bit of a pain.

Is there a difference between the D15 and D16 pulleys?

Before anyone tells me to fit the D15 one....

I wll get this sorted no problem. Just looking for feedback. :)

Sorry I guess at the pulley, assuming sucks, not saying what pulley of the two is worse.

People seem to think D16 and D15 fly wheels are they same?

88/89 one type of clutch and flywheel 90-00 another type, stay within that year range and fully interchangeable, per Dan, found it by searching.

And you never asked about timing, more remarked, so I answered correctly per your statement / questions, if there is a language barrier that answers that, if you just dont get it, not sure how else to help.

What year d15b?

obd2 cam gears are different by 4.5* vs obd1. And the timing marks are different on the cranks per obd2 vs obd1 as well except for the TDC mark on the crank pulley should be the same.

I am not sure. How do I tell? We never got this engine in any honda here its by import only.

To simplify my question are d16 and d15 tdc marks the same?

Think I might pull a ek d15 pully off a friends car to answer all rice.

Is the dipstick in the middle of the exhaust manifold at the front of the car or coming out of the oil pump at the front of the engine. 92-95 is obd1 and 96-00 is obd2 over here.
ooh yes ok! thanks for solving that.

obd1 then :)

Then I am using an obd2 pulley on an obd1 engine. I think this is my issue.
I will fiddle today and post a pic of what I am referring to.

Thanks for that. (cant rep anymore)
