Ok for the full story. I have a 2000 Civic EX with a D16Y8 with 131k on it. Only downside...automatic transmission. Being only 17 and not making a lot of money, I was looking around for a swap of some sort. First Idea would be a transmission swap but I am hesitant of one. I started thinking... It cant be too much more expensive to swap in a similar engine with a 5 speed with lower miles. Hence the D15B. http://www.osakajdmmotors.com/ h as D15B's for 550 with
* Motor
* Transmission (5sp)
* All required Cables
* Distributor
* Complete Intake Manifold
* Alternator
# A/C
# Power Steering Pump
# All Brackets and Sensors
550 Wouldnt be too save plus enough for labor. I know I will also need more stuff since the transmission is being swapped also. That is the purpose of this thread. Could anyone think of whatelse I'll need for a swap? I am not looking for the fastest car, I just want a 5 Speed to play around in. I'm assuming the D15 would have less miles than my current D16.
