Driving Style: Like im addicted to Boost. wide the fuck open
Managment: Crome street tune
HP: dont know, did street tune.
Engine Mods: ARP head studs,Cometic .051 MLS head gasket
Major Problems: Small Hole in #3 Piston

New Setup I just dropped in TODAY:

ENGINE: D16y7 block with D16Z6 head
MILAGE: 73,000 on Block, 178k on head
Miles Since Boosted: Zero
PSI: 28-30
Turbo: Ching Chang T3/T04e 57 trim
Driving Style: will be Better than normal
Managment: Crome tune on Dyno
HP: unsure until 2 weeks
Engine Mods: Vitara 8:5:1 pistons,SRM H beam rods, ACL bearings/thrust washers,notched out cylidner wall,JGE valve springs, Titanium Retainers.Block Gaurd.

Aiming for a 400hp 1/4 mi car still streetable

those and the ones like the noob above my previous post. posting a setup he is currently working on...wtF? like all the setups with 0 miles on them? how are they reliable? this is ghey im out.

update on my setup.


Motor: D16Z6
Mileage: 17k
Mileage since boost:0k
PSI: 16psi
Turbo: T3 Super 60 .42/.48
Driving Style:Raced over 100times at track/street and mountain driving, at least redline everytime I drive
Management: Crome Pro
Hp: 251whp 231tq
Engine mods: ARP Headstuds, Cometic Headgasket, Wiseco Pistons, Eagle Rods, ACL Bearings, supertech valvetrain, carbing catch can

no problems. dynotuned, minor oil leak from the turbo seals.. due to lack of oil restrictor i suppose. Besides that, daily beaten racing M3s :)

Not anymore that thing is seized up. Read my pissed off post in pnb. BTW I guess I should update the reliability eh? So...69k miles, 17psi daily lugging an extra 930 lbs of stereo, it FINALLY gave up.

It doesn't look like many people at all build non vtec heads for boost. I have an a6 head sitting in my garage and was planning on getting it ported and a cam, but I havn't seen a build on here with this setup. Are there issues with building a non vtec head or does everyone just like vtec?

GOT HEAD STUDS BLOCK GAURD PORTED HEAD CROWER STAGE 2 TURBO CAM REVHARD MANY T3 GARRET WITH GRAND NATIONOL INTERNOLS TURBO SMART WASTE GATE AT 10 POUNDS WITH NO VTEC WHEN TUNING VTEC WOULD MAKE MY HP DROP SO WITH OUT VTEC IT MADE 205HP 161QT(Y8 CAM ON Z6 TUNER SAID THATS MY PROBLEM BUT WHATEVER !!!

the feed oil line brakes every 1000 miles...so far (me cheaping out)
excedy clutch don't like me

things I can somewhat live with..
