newbie and noobie here..this is a very informative thread...
but i would like to ask you all how come everybody are using sdifferent turbo??are they similar??anybody on a bigger turbo??

i think most people just use the turbo they can get there hands on.... being an un turboed engine to begine with we have to piece together the setup ourselves. that would be why everyone ends up with different turbos and different turbo setups. and there are alot of d's using bigger turbos then most (most use t28 - t3)

a noob that i am, i want to partake!

Engine: d15bvtec
Mileage before boost:0
Mileage after:27k(and thats with cross country trips!
PSI:15
Turbo: Super T3 45 Trim Stage III .48
Engine:bottom end had egle rods, wiseco pistons(CP 8.5:1), polished crank, and new oil pan
Head: mild port and polish, a turbo cam a friend gave to me, im really not sure where its from but damn it was good, brand new valvetrain components from skunk 2.
Management: chipped p28 with chrome, i had it street tunned by a friend first then went to the bronx for the dyno tunning
HP:370 198ft
Major Problems:hooking up, and trying not to bind my axles, i also had some lag in the beginning but that went away after the dyno tunning.

I drove that one into a grave and i dont mean the engine because my little brother has the motor now with the same turbo and he's pumping way more boost i think now he's at about 17 but with 750cc injectors and he's not driving it like i was!

new project is a b20 but i love my d's!

TURBO: not big enough
DRIVING STYLE: careful, but not like a grandma

HP: the goal was over 400 on high boost but it never made it to the dyno.
ENGINE MODS: eagle rods, SRP pistons, block guard, ARP head studs, ported head, cam, skunk2 intake mani, h22 throttle body, and some other shiet
MAJOR PROBLEMS WITH CURRENT SETUP: cracked sleeves in 7 places due to trying to make 400hp (at 10:1 compression on pump gas). It was a hot day when it went, IAT's must have just been high.

MAJOR PROBLEMS WITH CURRENT SETUP: running rich/not tuned, clutch, open dump---> clutch replaced with centerforce pp, lsd fly, stock clutch. still running rich/not tuned, piston rings gave way when doing a high speed run and now am boosting 11psi for some reason.

yo whats up i just got a 91 hatchback and its stock but I want change the motor and turbo it with a T25 I picked from my boy. Can u help me out and give me some directions and how to achieve a D-motor boosting.
