So I picked up an Integra. The PO cut the center console to fit a double din.

Option one, is to get another double din, but it has to be cheap. And all I want is a quality Bluetooh receiver, not a shitty ass slow ass crappy ass Bluetooth like my JVC deck lol.

So, anyone got any recommendations?

The other option is hit up the JY, get a new center trim piece, find an OEM deck and reconnect my sweet little bluetooth Kinivo. (would cost under $100).

I am able to get a bunch of quality double dins fairly cheap but your best bet would be to fix the bezel and put a single din back in there! Single dins are way cheaper, less likely to get stolen, because there not so bling and if you don't need the double din features why spend the extra money? I vote single din.. my .02...

I've got the super basic ass single din with bluetooth in the Aristo. All I wanted was to be able to stream music from my phone, but it's also good for calls.

I hate aftermarket decks usually because they looks so flashy and don't fit the rest of the interior. This one had some understated looks.

I like my JVC. I am no audiophile, but it works well with my andoid galaxy s3, plays pandora, has decent hands free, and lowers music to play navigation audio all over bluetooth and has one of the higher 4 channel RMS outputs, so it sounds ok at reasonable volumes even without an amp. Plus it was only $85 shipped. I originally got one for my wifes 2007 ford escape, but liked it so much I got a second for my CRX.

JVC makes some decent head units that are just media players (they dont play CDs) with good android support. For $85 bucks the one I got is great for me, but if you dont swing android there is likely better products for you.

The fact that it interacts so well with my phone and even will charge it via the USB port for playing audio thumbdrives in the front works great for me.

My first ddin for the civic was pioneer 5000bt.
Bluetooth and remote control.

I paid 200 back when it came out. Gotta be cheap by now. I liked it.

I like the look of that thing!

The "cheapest" thing I could do is use an OEM deck and use the cd changer input just like I did on my EK. It would cost me what ever an OEM deck costs at the junk yard.

But im feeling saucy. Haha. Double din seems cool, never had that before.

Esotericimage, how long does it take to boot up? And how long after its powered does it take for BT to connect and start to stream?

My JVC is slow as balls, takes like 30 seconds to connect and stream. The Kinivo $40 BT receiver I got off amazon.com connects in about 2 seconds!

Is 30 seconds slow? I mean I start my car and pull out of my apartment complex and my music turns on automatically if I left my head unit on the pandora setting when I shut the car off.... I always feel like Pandora takes forever to get going on my phone but it starts playing through the radio as soon as it starts playing anything...

My Kinivo, once the deck powers up, like right away, BT beeps and its connected and playing.

With my JVC, it connects... and the phone starts playing from its speaker... song goes on for a while, I miss my favorite part where the beat drops, and then the sound comes in on the deck. WTF?!? lol.

Well it wasn't lagging or slow. It functioned like a BT radio should. As you power it, it will do its thing.

I will add when I had this unit, I didn't have a streaming phone and I just used the aux input for iPod and my phone.

Wierd.... Mine is built into my deck, its not an extra device or anything... It connects before pandora loads and when it starts playing it wont stop until the phone has an issue like you are in a dead zone...

If that happens and pandora completely looses its data connection it usually starts up again once the data comes back, but sometimes you have to close and reopen pandora, or change the radio source to something else and back to pandora, then it will pickup and go again. But I have always considered that a pandora/phone issue, not a problem with the radio...
