i still cal a tie a tie....keeping up with someone aint a win...anywhere....
I dont know if this happened in this case but even when your racing someone and you are keeping up with them pretty good and about a car and a half away from them- in reality although thats awesome, at the track it could mean the difference of the other car running 14.5 and you running 15.3 or so.
However if you win by half a fender its a big deal at the track as you probably will get the lower Et

No where did I say that I won. Nor was I bragging that I won. Maybe I should go back and read my own post. But I am pretty sure that the topic was me laughing at the guy with the $3000 B that couldn't pull away from my $800 D.

But I am stupid. and my car is junk. And so was buddies. I deserve to be shot in the face for thinking that a tie is a win for me. And a fender at a track is the difference between thousandths of a second not half a second!

the important thing is that on that day of the race...the B was bunk and the D was dashy.

it dosnt matter what car you have if you cant drive it then its slow ...5.0's are slow the 4.6 is faster but also thats stock and yea yea you put parts on it its fast but if you build a geo metro (with alot of money) it could beat even the badest d or b ... its all in how much money you have .... also i have a gsr in my hatch ... i can beat a 5.0 and a 4.6 and all have is bolt ons ..

my all motor d16z6 crx was doing like 9.1 1/8ths and i was running 14.1-14.2 in the quarter and my brother had a 91 lx 5.0 auto with k&n drop in and exhaust and ran 15.1......nice race story i always loved beating all my b swaped friends

Good kill man! I stayed with my friends H22 swapped DC2 Teg, he has Euro R cams, H23 trans, some funky ass CF intake amnifold (it kwpt hittting his brake master and booster) a RMF header and some JDM Apexi exhaust. He was pissed off! He has dropped like 9k in his car to do this swap and intake mani after intake mani (he started with stock, too big, then bought a skunk 2, also too big, and then bought the custom made CF one and it clears but after racing his brand new RMF header got a crack in one of the welds and is leaking like something fierce! I figure if he had the Euro R tans he probably would have had me, but then again if I had a Si/EX trans I may have gotten him too though. We were bumper to bumper the whole way!
