what is the least ghetto way to do this atop my y8 in my EK? Should I use z6 head, z6 dist., z6 cam, and z6 gear? What do i do about the dist plug?; my ek chassis side plug would never mate with the z6 dist plug. Also, Can I use my y8 cam and y8 gear in this head with the z6 dist and have no issues or ghettoness? I know the cam gear keyway is 4 drgs diff between the heads, but is the dist. side also?

Qualified answers only please hehe, im tired of guessing on this piece- i need to make some decisions

I think if you use a Y8 t-belt with your Y8 goodies your timing should stay on target. I also believe you can pull the guts out of your Y8 dizzy (with the plug connected) and swap it into the Z6 housing so you have Z6 bolt pattern with OBD2 connectivity.

yeah man swap the internals to the z6 housing and do the swap. should be worth it up top for a few more hp.
