What are the ramifications in wanting to stroke out a D15, and, what can you stroke it out to?? Bearing in mind that im planning on running boost....

ya im pretty sure it would not be worth it to attempt to stroke a d15...

Right, that settles that.

Ok stupid question here but what is the exact code for the SOHC vtec motor and head???

My mechanic says there are a couple of codes...D16ZC, D16Y8, D16Y3 etc. Im in South Africaso not sure if there is a difference from where you guys are out there...

as far as what is available in south africa i cant tell you, but there is a d16 for a bunch of different year ranges... it all depends on what OBD you want and vtec/ nonvtec

there are a lot of different versions of sohc vtec...

Shit!!!! that misty haze of confussion is setting in.... how is there are different versions of SOHC vtec, i know you get the vtec-e, 3 stage vtec and straight forward sohc vtec (like the b-series version but only on the intake side).

So with me going boost the best choice to go for would be the SOHC VTEC, in the D16Y8?????

when he said there are different versions of vtec he meant different motors, not versions of vtec itself.... for that theres just vtec, vtec-e and i-vtec

i would personally run the d16z6
x2... i have just ordered a z6 block to start with my build project

lol ya, there is more than one SOHC honda engine... here is a list of JUST the d-series engines just to give you an idea (only found in civics and early integs)
