Can I run this ECU on this motor for awhile or will it kill the motor? Iam doing a d15b swap into my 92 dx and I would like to take a trip to get the ecu tuned in another city. I wonder if driving it on the highway with not the right fuel maps will damage the new motor?

As in, WOT redline shifts. Part throttle cruising should be using the O2 sensor for A/F in closed loop anyway, assuming you have everything wired up.

It's pretty hard to break a stock engine. Add a turbo or high compression and things get much more dangerous without tuning.

why not just get a chip kit w/ a stock d15b map burnt on it? that would be the best way. then just tune it accordingly

Yeah you can, just be careful and cruise and don't dog it or rag it out like the other guy said. I ran the D15Z1 (P07) ECU on mine for a month and then switched it out, still runs great to this day.
