Let me apologize if this thread have been mention before. I tried searching but it always bring up other stuff. I am debating if I want to spend the extra money on the skunk2 intake manifold or keep it stock. My goal is about 450 whp on a 57 trim or 60 trim t3/40e garrett turbo. My build list

Motor is a d16z6
Will tune on E85

75.5mm Vitara pistons
FJ I beam rods
ARP head studs
Competition stage 5 clutch
OBX LSD
Ram horn manifold
57 or 60 trim garrett turbo .63ar
1600cc injectors
ebay intercooler
2.5" charge pipes
tial 38mm wg. tial 50mm bov

Stuff I am not sure if I need for 450 whp.
Skunk2 intake manifold ? or stock
Aftermarket fuel rail? or stock
Block guard for 30 psi? or stock? I know I read that stock block 450 whp = okay. But its going to get bore to .020 over.
Port & polish head? or leave it stock

I am pretty sure I will get cams for it though.
bishimoto 1.2? or 2.4? With supertech DVS and TI retainers.

Thanks

450whp is pushing it on stock sleeves, a block gaurd would help, I would definitly go with some block post, theoldone.com

not necessary but recommended for a good powerband

Theres people that have gotten 450whp out of a stock head but a cam and p&p would really help your powerband.

Also, 1600cc injectors are a bit excessive, 1000cc would be plenty.

Id be wary of the ebay i.c. with 30psi pushing threw it, definetly pressure test it if your seriuos about the ebay one.

Yeah.. I thought about getting the 1600 since E85 requires more fuel for it to run right.

If you have to max out 1000cc's for 450whp you have bigger problems

Thanks alot for answering all my question. You just save me a decent amount of money. I will probably go with a block guard (GE) and run supertech valvesprings and retainers with cam. Keep the intake manifold stock and fuel rail stock.

I know the zex cam people had problems with it. So I might end up running the crower or bishimoto cam. I need to find the bore size of the stock TB maybe I can run a gsr or ls tb.

edit: found it.
