Simple answer here, hopefully. I have a d15 dpfI engine now, going to doc zc with 14bturbo, 200hp. I'm sure the d15 flywheel is fine right? They should be the same. Do I need a better clutch &pressure plate or am I OK at 200hp with this one? Clutch also would be from the dpfi d15
You're definitely going to need an upgraded clutch. My Exedy HD felt soft at 140whp. I'm running an ACT atm which is a bit heavy feeling, but has been good.
Thanks! So, I think I bought a clutch off someone, many years ago. . It was lime green, cheap but really good quality. What do you recommend for a 200hp goal?
I can only recommend the one that i've used, it's torque rating (235lb/ft) would be fine for your HP goals and i've been happy with it so far. Just make sure you get the correct one for your car, this is the one i bought, but it's for the 4wd D trans.
I recommend the Action Clutch 1MS as it will leave you room to grow.
It will work fine with the stock flywheel, just be sure to have it properly resurfaced.
I have it in stock ready to ship.
