Hi guys,

I have a 99 ej8 with a d15y8. It is automatic.

The other day I noticed my car would sputter around turns. It is usually right turns that this happens, but it has happened going left and very few times from a stop.

My first thought was fuel filter. After I changed it, there was no improvement. I am stuck now. Could it be the fuel pump?

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Curious how your oil level is? My car used to bog out around turns then pick back up when I would get on the straight roads, checked the oil and it was so low that that going around turns the oil sloshes around and makes vtec not engage

++ on the Oil pressure. Oil pressure is everything for all variable valve timing / lift systems.

Also check for loose wiring getting disconnected somewhere or or shorted wiring allowing circuits to touch that aren't suppose to .

How much fuel is in the tank?
Have you had the fuel tank out or changed recently? Some aftermarket fuel tanks don't have the correct baffles in them for sloshing fuel could be slamming on way or other and loosing pressure just a thought
