Ok so the other day my buddy started his car and lost almost all the oil in his d15b.
He thought he blew is motor..
He takes it home puts oil in the motor and it starts right up. But is spewing oil everywhere from the back of the block.
He thought ok maybe it was his oil filter. He said it felt a tiny bit loose..
So he put a new one and cranked the car and it's still spewing.

I know the crank case breather box sees "some oil" but usually not this much.

I read somewhere that his Pcv valve could be clogged forcing more oil through the breather.
Is that a possibility? If not, could it be the ops?
He's 400 miles away from me so I can't go help him myself.

I've seen the filter gasket stick on there sometimes. Would definitely cause a leak.

Happened to me ones. Gasket stayed stuck placed the new on turned car on and sprayed my friend full of oil hahah

Must have been leaking bad

Been there done that twice or three times now. Haha. I ALWAYS check now.

Some people don't bother with the film of oil on the filter gasket but I still do it. It's like cooking food. No cooking oil, food sticks to pan lol
