Sorry man, Almost 4 years I read on this site, and I didn't find it yet. Delta spec in archive section is wrong, and it's for 260 & 272, not 282.

Give the thread about them if I miss it.

thank you

Did you install the 282?

272 spec is not what I measured when I got mine, no where as much lift and I do not think it is that aggressive..quite mild actually.

Thinking of doing the 282.but would like to know
1) Streetable?
2) Lumpy idle?
3) Power band (i.e. 272 = 3000-6200)

Thanks man..

Any regrind is mild. Hell, even all the shelf VTEC cams are mild.

Only way to get a big non-VTEC cam is a hard-weld.

Hard welding a cam makes it more agressive ? Hell fuckin' no. Regrinding a cam makes adjustments tighter on lobe center, spec can be the same until you can't adjust it, when lobe center is too small, that's why hard welding is needed.

You can only do so much with a re-grind. When you want to go bigger, you do a hard weld.

And yes, the 282 is mild.

I posted these specs a while ago, but it doesn't seem right, since it shows less net valve lift than the stock Y7 cam! I think they got the wrong rocker ratio in the net valve lift calculation, so it should be 0.361 intake, and 0.447 exhaust. I was once told by the guy who developed the 272 cam profile (from the old SOHC forum) that it was a good FI cam.

It's the spec sheet they gave me with the 272 when I bought it !

But tell me why it has almost .100 at the exhaust ?

and 282 is what ? .410 at the intake and .510 at the exhaust ?

Yeah, that the same specs my 272 came with too. I am assuming net valve lift should be cam lobe lift x rocker ratio.

So what's the net lift of both 272-282 regrind ?

I will install it in the head, and make it turn the cam and take measurements.
