are you talking sohc vtec zc or non vtec zc?
Yea I was wondering about that as well. I believe from what I have been told by a few Gurus on here the D15 SOHC VTEC Cam (Excluding the VTEC-E Cam) has the best stock cam profile out of all the D series cams again that is as far as stock profiles go so question is if this is in fact true does the head flow better.(time for a search engine I think) And again quoting a few gurus on this statement as well..The DOHC ZC exhaust Mani will bolt to the D series engines and flows better than any SOHC D . If done right I think it would b cool to run a camouflaged engine in regards to bolt on's. Keep the appearance of a Stocker Engine. However that's just my 2 cents..Hmmmm or maybe .5 cents worth.lol

I couldn't find a thread on specifically For the SOHC D15 vtec vs ZC DOHC for comparison, oppinions. But the cam For what it is (Is pretty good) so I would say the head probably flows pretty good too. And if it dosent you can always have it machined a lil bit. As Beer Drinking Stated. Again this is if this is in Regards to The Vtec SOHC ZC

DOHC ZC head is the best flowing d-series head off the shelf period.
There is a pretty solid following around town on my end as far as the ZC DOHC series swap wise. I am not sure if its because they are forgiving, Cost effective, Decent Hp numbers stock or a mix off all 3. I know they sound decent with a respectable exhaust.

Every engine japan has is a zc,
a Y8 over there is called a obd2 sohc vtec zc, a Z6 from over there is called a obd1 sohc vtec zc, a Y7 is a obd2 sohc nonvtec zc. an a6 over there is called a obd0 sohc nonvtec zc.

Also the d15b cam is a bit more agressive then a z6 cam and still sucks if your building for power, if you plan on dd you car and not reallt track use i could see using the stock cam, but unless i was in a race class that needed oem parts i would never bother switching out cams for a d15b cam

Also a jdm d15b head is a z6 head. They flow the same. And the cam would do better in a 1.5 bottom end because the ratio of cam size to cc displacment changes. So putting that cam is a d17 it will be small but putting it in a d15 it may be alright
Great food for thought. Why didn't the stateside market just keep it simple?

Dohc wasn't that bad for aftermarket parts when I built mine
For sure maybe now however there might be. I did find after a lil research and found a recipe guidebook on this site with does and don'ts for that engine. Did a lil bit of research myself and you can get it cammed up,Intake header cam gears etc. However the idea of swapping an H series on top intrigues me a touch. Unlesss this is the wrong thread still cool idea. All the more reason to love Honda motors. Apparently as I am starting to discover they are(So many different ways to cook up a healthy engine) inside a rather light shell..And still to todays standards get decent MPGs and have a solid street/track thumper...
