Needed something 4cyl and not 4000 pounds and with a manual transmission. The Aristo costs me about 20 bucks a day to drive to work.

Got this from Graham Auctions today for about 2400 after tax and buyer's fee. Took it home tonight, washed it, and started screwing with it right away, lol.

Roomates Skyline and 1.7EL, and my Aristo in the background.

Steering wheel leather is torn, rest of the interior is nice.

First thing I did when I got it home was crank the Koni adjustables to full stiffness, rip out the stock airbox and stick a filter on it, and fix a boost leak.

Nice just having random filters and couplers from builds past. :D

Probably just gonna crank the boost up to 16-17ish psi, lower it, get better pads, etc. Basic shit to make it more fun to drive.

get a better tune on it, tuning has come a long way in 18-20 years.

Might wanna look into some TC (Turbo Coupe) upgrades.

PS: I hate you!

12.99 on stickys and 30+ mpg highway can be done with modern tuning.

A co worker of mine is a big SVO guy, he'd be all over you. Looks like a pretty damn good pick up for such a cheap price.

Yeah that'd probably make a big difference in power AND mpg. Nothing like a proper dyno tune.

My guy charges 500 flat rate for an EEC IV tune but he'd probably cut me a break... Maybe. :)

Damn that leather is minty for its age!

The engine bay could use a rinse but overall that's a great deal you got there. :TU:

'84 or '85?

'85.5 or '86 got the flush headlights.

Also, there is a nice Volvo head swap if you so choose.

MerkurTech.com

Or you could keep it stock looking :)

84. I know about the Volvo DOHC swap, I think it's pants on head retarded personally, lol.

You can make great power on the SOHC.

I should have bought a SVO in 86 instead of the EXP.

Fuckin Ford... Disconnected the knock sensor and it's a shit ton faster, lol.

Before it would hardly run 9 psi without pulling timing. With goddamn 94 in the tank. Annoying.
