So the guy that owned my car before me installed the windshield wrong. He just put the glass in and none of the trim pieces. So of course it's leaking the foot well is like a lake when it rains. This is my beater so I don't want to put money into having the windshield replaced. Would filling where the trim pieces go with clear silicone caulk work for fixing the leak?

You should take it to a local auto glass shop and have them pull the glass and reseal it. I wouldn't pay more than $80 for that.

But you could use this in a caulking gun.

Pulling glass and resealing can be a gamble, if the guy pulling the glass doesnt care, he will easily crack it and ur gonna be out the cost of a new piece of glass.

Yeah a shop told me $100 to pull it and put it back in. $200 for new glass. I'm ok with paying $100 but like you said I don't trust them not to break it and charge me for a new windshield
