what is the sensor on top of the trani for, is it for rpms or is for somethin else, and what wires go to it if you have a 89 si hatch

yea, the sensor is a reverse sensor, the rpm's are tracked by the crank position sensor...

where is the crank position sensor at? and is the sensor on the trani even important, and yes it has two wires leading to the manual trani, do you know what color they are?

that switch is important if you want reverse lights on the back of your car but if you dont then no its not important

yea, the sensor is a reverse sensor, the rpm's are tracked by the crank position sensor...
i have since found out that the RPM's are tracked by the ignitor located within the distributor...my bad for bad information...
