Guys I bought a sard fpr and I am wondering if there is a problem with it.

When I turn on the key "do not start it" the pressure goes up on my gauge but quickly drops. I noticed a lot of the fuel exits the return line back to the tank. Is this normal? I am getting ready to start my engine for the first time since I installed my Jackson supercharger and wanted to be sure this would not be a issue first.

What's your k.o.e.o. (prime) pressure

As said above it is "normal" for the pressure to taper off...but not fall of the cliff so to.say

A stock FPR has a rubber diaphragm seal, so it holds pressure for a long time. Aftermarket usually use metal-on-metal seals (steel ball in aluminum hole) so pressure drops quickly. I'd say 1psi per second isn't out of the ordinary. Any more and you'll want to see if the ball seat is damaged or if there's gunk in the way.
