91 CRX HF
My CRX has been up and running for about a year now, and I still have a rough idle. I'm running a D16a6 with a PM6 in a 91 CRX Hf with the latest version of turbo edit and no matter what I do I can't get it to smooth out. I've noticed lately, that it only runs rough when I turn on the heater fan or when the Rad fan kicks on. (basically when theres extra load on the alt. and the idle kicks down about 150 rpm.) When the fans are off it runs at about 900-1000 RPM and runs smooth as butter, but when the fans kick on the RPM drops to about 750-850 rpm and the engine seems to miss. Could this have something to do with the ELD? I think I read somewhere a long time ago that the HF had some different pins at the ECU for the shift light and ELD that had to be moved when installing the PM6. I can't find it anywhere now. For instance my check engine light comes on sometimes when I don't downshift soon enough. I shift and it goes away. It doesn't lope or rev at idle. No other issues, it just drops RPM and runs rough whith extra load. My TPS is at 0% at idle. My IACV is clean. Do I just need a higher amp alternator? Any input would be greatly appretiated! Thanks.
