just tried this concoction this past weekend...awesome...sweet spicy tangy...good balance...

i smoked a five pound slab of spare ribs non trimmed...11 bucks at winco...rubbed my rub on it...put it on the smoker for 3 hours with maple and alder wood chunks at 250 degrees...wrapped it in foil with some apple juice and kept it on the smoker for another two hours...removed...let sit for ten minutes and serve...you can remove from the foil and put them back on the smoker to crisp a bit...thats up to you...

the rub...

* 2 tablespoons garlic powder
* 2 tablespoons onion powder
* 2 tablespoons black pepper
* 1 tablespoons salt
* 2 tablespoons chili powder
* 2 tablespoons cumin powder
* 2 tablespoons brown sugar
* 3 to 4 tablespoons paprika
* 2 teaspoons cayenne pepper

whip it in a magic bullet to break the brown sugar up...

i loved it...i will try it again...
