What brands do you guys have good things to say about?
I don't want to buy a piece of crap, so want to make sure before hand.
Should I buy an aem true time and call it a day?
Thanks in advance.

i wouldnt use a tru time from what i have seen around here on d-series
Not 100% sure if that was all the cam gears fault or some other things was going with the head. Never seen a golden eagle go bad I'm on market for one as well. Oh and any anodized purple always gets my vote

Never had any issues with my "cheapo" Areospeed cam gear :

The thing that worrys be about the cheap ones are the bolts. I fear they will be cheap bolts and strip or break. What are your thoughts about the bolts?

Edit : nice looking engine btw

Install new bolts. Problem solved.

I will only buy GE gears from now on. The vernier indexing makes it stupidly easy to set the cam timing and the rest of the build is EXTREMLY good quality.

I like the locking design of the Bisimoto gear, but it is heavy and overpriced and I won't support that charlatan.

AEM 3 bolt. Never had it slip, even after dropping a valve.

Never had it break like the 5 bolt ones.

And its indexed correctly, they offer a Y8 and a Z6 one.

And it's marked incorrectly
