['95/EJ1]

i got a D16Z6 motor in my 95 coupe and has a cracked rear main seal. wondering if this can affect any internal or external parts of the engine?. also i have been told that i just need to put in oil or check if the oil level is right so that i don't run out, and wouldn't be a big deal. if this is serious what are the costs for the seal and labor to fix it? and the car has no problems, no lights coming on/or off. and is this something i can drive on daily and normally?

Eventually, the oil will find its way to the clutch assembly, assuming that you have a manual.

I had mine leaking and fixed

well is something (if you are lazy or low on cash) you can leave on but surely not forgive, expecially if you run your car now and after.

Tranny must me removed or separed, converter, flywheel too to access the rear seal.

a decent mechanic @$300 and up.

wont damage internals as long as you keep safe level of oil in it. i wouldnt just let it go though because it will get worse and before you know it unsafe level of oil, oil light, boom, broke down on the side of the road.
