Any of you guys faced the issue where even when the car is off and everything is off that the rear brake lights and the third brake lights stay on? when that car is off, i checked the fuse nothing took it out to see if it would turn off nothing, its a obd1 converted 99 civic lx

Check the brake switch. It could be stuck/broken causing the lights to stay on.

Its usually the rubber piece. Did you find them on the floor? It should look like crumbled rubber. I have had to do 3 hondas for that. I had a parts car for mine but you can go to the junkyard and pull a couple. Civics with no dash are very easy to pull it and can also get the switch while at it just to be safe

Not on a honda but I've seen it on other vehicles. Usually the brake lamp switch.

Interesting that the fuse being pulled it didn't go out. Unless you pulled the wrong one, there's another power source, or you have a short to power of some sort

yeah the blue plastic tore in half on the drive home

whats that piece called
yeah it's a tab.

you can get any that fits from your local home depot, or use anything that fits and do the job.

does it just need to ground it?
what? uh, no.

it's a plastic tab that goes at the upper part of the pedal.
