Really new to the Honda world but aquired a hatch for next to nothing. So I've tried to search this and search it. I'm looking for a realistic idea of what to expect and is my goal out of reach. End goal is approx 600whp

The engine
D16z6
Darton sleeves
Block guard
Manley rods
Cps pistons
Crower cam
Everything is balanced to a 10th
Will have valve job done
Arp studs
Valves, Springs etc..
Either single or possible twin turbo.
Custom headgasket to get 7.5:1 ish compression.
Wanting to put approx 20psi to it and will be on point with Neptune tuner.
60mm throttle body, all exhaust and intake flow paths will be ported to match so max flow will be there. I will do all my own piping etc n just tig it all up myself. None og that worries me. I'm a machinist by trade so I'm very competent with it.
Main questions are, do you D series gurus think it's realistic or do I just throw my b20 in it. I just am a fan of the idea of a D motor kicking Ass like it can.

Nice, yah the search sucks on my phone. Like I stated I tried n tried to use it. Still not seeing anything pushing 600+ and didn't pick up any thoughts on twin turbos

You should try to run 5.5:1 compression for the SUPER HIGH BOOST PRESSUREZ!

You do realise that the basic internal combustion engine of a 1.6l F1 car's power plant doesn't churn out much more than 600 bhp?

To do this, it takes advantage of the rule that allows it to rev to 15,000, the turbine and the wastegates have separate exhausts. Oh, and it's a V6, so it's inherently better balanced than a 4 cylinder.

Why do you want to do this? The power will be unusable unless you spend as much time, energy and money on the rest of the car as you do on the engine.

I must ask,

Unless your going to compete and want to be the fastest honda in the world, what is the point of 600+ HP?

What are the goals for the car other than HP?

What experience do you have with that kind of power?

Note: 600 hp in a civic is very hard to make streetable.

Also 60mm TB won't get you to 600 hp IIRC.

Anything over 250whp in these chassis is basically worthless for anything but highway runs or drag strip on slicks.

600whp is a flatout stupid power goal if this car gets driven on the street even if only 25% of the time.

set your power goal to a very modest 250-300whp. that will get you into the 11s at the drag strip with good transmission gearing, good traction (slicks), and good driving. 12s if you just hit the strip and quit.

beyond 400whp is EASILY a huge money pit. you are either constantly repairing shit, or spending big money to make things durable and reliable.

hell, with the right turbo and engine setup, even 250whp can be a huge bear to drive in a front wheel drive car

Exactly this. My buddies Civic, stock B16, ebay turbo at 15 psi is a dang handful on the street. Even with a limited slip, and decent tires.
