It has the ceramic turbine which makes me wonder but a friend has 2 and they are mint condition. I think they are 60 trim. What is your opinions of it? Mostly spool as I am looking for something that will get going but have decent top end.

I have a 55 trim that I can swap out for on the cold side but I don't know if that will help spool that much or not.

Thanks

if i remember form the ones i had the are smaller then that and with the ceramic wheel you are boost limited to about 18 psi max and even that is pushing the wheel to point of separating, also you have to be careful when rotating the exhaust housing, good chance you will end breaking the turbine wheel, my friend broke both the ones i sold him.

I actually want the ceramic turbine to help spool. I am not looking for a fire breather just 12psi daily. I had a T3 50 trim I sold (for a good reason) and I am interested in this turbo as long as it is just as good or better then it. If not I can pull a 60 trim off a Nissan 300ZX that is at the junk yard and rebuild it. I also have T3 55 trim from a Buick GNX but it needs rebuilt.

The RB20DET has got to atleast be a a 50 trim right? I can't find a bunch of info for it or the 55 trim GNX. Basically I am looking for a turbo to spool like a T25 and pull till redline at 12psi. That is my goals. OH my redline is 7500.

The ceramic is for heat retention and weight reduction right? Can you get those clipped?

Thanks guys................

You ever run one of them? By my calculations they should be a 50 trim which is what I got rid of. The 50 trim was almost a perfect match really for my build as it was running out right at the redline. My max hp I was looking for was 250hp and that just about hit the nail on the head. I should be able to get a good spool from it though right? Better then the spool from a T3 60 trim with metal turbine? I also have a 55 trim wheel I could swap it out with that could give me a little bit more top end.

I am more then likely going to use one. I have seen some catastrophic failure from some that I want to avoid but I guess I will tempt fait. Oh well.

So can you guys suggest a good A/R for the hot and cold side? Thanks
