i was wondering..
after looking at the results for my vitara build...
ive got a z6 75.5 vitaras with eagle fj spec i beams for vitara pistons
and i was look at fjdistributors website and tehy say they CR is like 8:1 if i use a y8 HG its like 8.48:1 well.. can i mill the head any to mabye get me to a high 8 to 1? or possibly a 9? im new to the milling thing. so i dunno how much to ask to take off. so any advice?

also.
with this build.
i dont need to necessarily tune it right now? i can wait 4 months till i turbo it?

not with the new i beams. built to spec just for the vitara pistons.

For all Honda D16 engines using Vitara pistons
-For turbo applications.
-ARP 2000 Rod Bolts (3/8")
-ARP Lube
- 500+ whp rating
- Notching of Block required on D16 engines

These rods were designed Specifically to run the Vitara pistons into
D16 engines. When you use standard length (137mm) rods with
Vitara pistons, the pistons will either stay below the deck (d16 engines)
or go up pass above the deck height (JDM D15).

Even though the setups have worked like this(using std length rods),
this is not completely ideal because the combustion is happening
not at the right place and there are compression ratios issues
(very low CR). So we have designed a custom I beam rod with a
custom length to solve this issue. Using this rod the Vitara piston
will sit right at deck height providing more Compression(one full point
on D16 engines) and making the combustion happen where it has to be.

Get more Horsepower out of your boosted Vitara project with these rods.

Compression Ratios vary depending on the head and head gasket used.

Compression Ratios using FJ R Spec Custom I beams + Vitaras:
(Number in parenthesis represent CR ratio using std. 137mm rods such a Eagles or any other brand)

D16Y8---> 8.8:1CR (7.8:1)
D16Z6 with Y8 2 layer HG ---> 8.48:1 (7.47:1)
D16Z6 with .030"HG---> 8.4:1 (7.4:1)
D16Y7---> 8.4:1 (7.4:1)
D16A6----> 8.1:1 (7.1:1)
DOHC ZC---> 7.9:1 (6.9:1)

ok. i didnt know if there was just a way with milling. since everythings fixing to go to the machine shop.
but if its not that big of a deal. then fuck it. lol
