top one is for IACV, bottom on is for FITV...

i currently have that high idle at cold start - followed by bouncing from 1500-1800...until warm, where it idle's sorta high. anyways - when i close either hole (when cold) the car still runs (the idle goes to a lower setting)

when the car is warm... the FITV still sucks air...

anyways, when the IACV hole is plugged, is the car still supposed to run?

adjust the FITV, the brass plunger has backed out.........

I had pics, but they where lost with HD failure.

When the FITV is fed hot coolant, it closes to allow the normal low idle.

update: I'M FREAKIN HAPPY! :D i finally got the surging idle fixed on my car! yeah, it was the FITV. i rerouted the coolant lines with the IACV all the different ways that i could... and it didn't change anything. then i did the FITV...and it works! i currently have one of the coolant lines "plugged." it's the one coming from the block...nearest the thermostat as opposed to the one near the alternator. i've been "suffering" this idle thing for 5+ months... and it's so nice to have a normal idle. thanks for the help trans and minglor!

and trans... it was almost awkward trying to post a quick reply with those eyes looking at me the whole time...
