Ok, i got a y7 and want to put in a y8 head, many people have told me to get a y8 intake manifold, but is that really necessary? some people say that if you use a vtec controller, you can reuse your throttle body but im not sure if i can reuse the y7 intake manifold. anyone know? thanks

Any TB in the d-series is the same 56mm. The y8 will have larger runners. You'll need the FPR from the y8. You'll need a vtec ecu unless you're just gonna run lean"er" in vtec w/ a controller. I would suggest using the y8 intake mani., I noticed a dif. with a vtec mani versus non on a non-vtec head. But yes, if you have too.

I just had problems running too lean with a b7 vs a z6. You probably are right.
