I know the mounting is a little different between dizzys, but if your able to get that piece of metal underneath it to work so you can mount it on the dizzy you want, are they interchangeable? Is not just a transistor that should work in all dizzy?

Anyone try to switch between years?

I'd say no cuz there are various models of distributors within those years...but I've been wrong before. LOL

Why would you say no. I'd say yes. Its not like its electromagnet with a pre designed number of coils and resistance its just a transistor. Are all transistors not created equal?

all it does is open the connection on the pos. side of the coil. I bet they use the same test number at autozone on all the igniters.
