I was wondering what honda uses to trigger the dizzy to advance? Is it the RPM and TPS? Or is the map and the IAT used too?

il take a wild stab and guess at this.. since im not sure.

but could it be the MAP ?

hence the known issue of a piggyback like vafc's characteristics of..

when u pull fuel it advances the timing and when u add fuel it retards the timing?

im not sure.. but just a guess haha

hmmm... it could be. but then again it could also just be based off of RPM. as the RPM climbs it could just advance w/o any other inputs

three pickups in the dizzy :)
So its all contained in the dizzy? The reason why I ask is because I am doing a carbed Z6 and I would like to avoid using the vac advance dizzy with it. So I want to see if the stock Z6 dizzy will still advance if I am running carbs.

I wonder if there is a way of getting the OBD-0 vac advance dizzy to work with an OBD-1 engine? I know the OBD-1 dizzy has many more wires on it.
