Super Street vs Project Car ef build off

B16 vs D16 Rich vs Poor JDM vs Fugen lol

Best ever. If i can go back in time and never buy a mag until this one, id save lots of money lol. Im stuck in the 90s of b16 ef9 wanabees and turbo ds, so this is my last mag(ya right!) il actualy feel i got my moneys worth.

(besides my NEW ongoing curiosity of subaru) (Too expensive right now STI <House) LOL


I dont post on here anymore since buying a b16 ed7 but i realy want the best of both worlds and have a turbo d ed7 aswell lol. Soon!

yeah i have that issue lmao the rex owned in power and overall budget lol. i tell everyone its a waste unless you have the money or going towards a 1.8 b-series set-up.

D16T owned b16, esp. in tq numbers




don't you guys think they did really, really bad at the track though?

I wanna say the b16 hatch was running like high 10's. and the crx was high 9's.
When I first read it, I though it was funny cause my basically stock a6 would beat that b16...
my hf = 10.2 lol

been wanting to post about this for about a week. best magazine issue ever for a honda owner imo. build what you got d16 vs. the overrated jdm sir swap.
b-series was owned in every aspect track,dyno,cost,etc.
A must have for the d-series community:TU:

saw it, but did not want to post it cause people would have thought that the turbo set up on the rex was ok to use. but sadly its a fail for the following reasons:

1) FMU
2) phantom slip
3) no bov

IMHO of course.

Also the b16 is stock, lots of room for imrovment. Boost the b and it would be quick and get the loud ass crossover lol. Reliability would also go to the b as a DD.

I posted it , not being a d series nazzi but just plain cool, old school 90's debaite lol.


For me, its like if that turbo d beat the ed7 with a stock type r swap, id still love to have the type r swap as a DD/ road race car.

I like them both, actualy the ed setup is realy close to the work car i bought lol.

Hey, I know this thread is forever old, but if any of you have issues 6 and 7 of Project Car Magazine, I'd be interested in buying them from you. $10 per magazine plus shipping costs. Let me know. I've been looking for these issues for quite a while.
