I have a 00 civic w/ y8. every time i turn the wheel the pump like locks up almost to a complete stop and the belt squeels. should i just replace the pump, loop the power steering, or do i just have another problem besides the pump it self?

it sounds like the pump? Or else the rack my ranger did the same thing and a new pump fixed it right up!
This will be my second pump replaced in a year and a half.
Was it replaced for the same reason? I take it you replaced it with another used pump?
