hello all i am trying to decide on which turbo i should use. i am thinking about either the ebay t04e, or ebay t 70 (gt35), just not sure which one i should get for my setup. i have a high compression build so i figured there wouldn't be too much of a problem with building boost. input would be appreciated. i have read that some of you have made good power with the ebay gt 35, just wondering which one. thanks

Sorry about that, it was a good deal. I am building a low hp y8 for my DD. I figured this should be a better turbo than my other air research. As far as the ebay turbo, you would be better off looking for a used quality turbo. Which you can find on ebay, but dont just by the first one that meets your eye, if it requires new seals or is labeled "for parts" you will probably shit your pants on the rebuild cost if you are not into doing it yourself. Craiglist is always a great source. Good luck. I would offer you my used turbo but it has some shaft play and needs to be rebuilt.

yes thanks for the info on the craigslist, however i wanted to build a cheap ebay turbo setup on this to have something to play and show people around the house that it will still make decent power. just looking for the tried and true, good power making ebay turbo.

the t3/t04e "57" the one with that descripting even tho its not that, is what you want. tho the recent one are alot junkier as in they blow by oil fast. my first one was the shit, lasted years bfore the compressor seal went. got another within a few weeks was smoking. but shit i can trap 91mph in the 1/8 on street tires spinnning the whole way on 14psi from the ebay so im not bitching. if you have a working BOV it will last.

"im on a budget"

so you want to buy a turbo you are going to have to replace?

doesnt make any sense to me

thats like having just enough money for rent, then going to a casino and gambling it all away because you wanted to win $20 more for pizza. then at the end of the day, you got nothing what so ever!

if u want to spend $200 on a turbo that will be reliable get a holset.
