I know phantom grip will eventually wear out the spider gears, but will the shavings, etc. mess the gears and synchros up?

Well we had one faulire on a DSM tranny and it blew a pretty big hole on the case, reason was that the spider gears broke because of the phantom faulire. Pretty funny when you are racing and all of the sudden you hear all this rattle and feel the engine free-reving.

OK, i was thinking the metal shavings or whatever would just sit in the fluid at the bottom of the transmission; being able to reuse the transmission by just getting a new diff.

KABOOM, like the pic I posted before.

Their diff pin sucks ass also.

There was a webpage up for a Neon/PG failure, it was NASTY.

I also have a set of side gear shims that a PG ate, it was caught before failure after I told a ITA driver to inspect his.
