Anyone know this piston?

Search is not my friend.
Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms.

I think I want P29's but this guy claims this piston is also good.

96-00 Y piston, not exact sure which motor, not good for compression bump.
I see... this guy bought them from japan came in Japanese newspaper too.

he wants to sell them for R3000 which is a LOT of money for pistons here.

So I am trying to figure out if they are going to be worth my while.

the piston in the picture is a dish piston, these are good (depending on head dyamics) for economy and boost...with the dish you'll get a better swirl on the intake mixing the fuel and air better, this is why honda uses these for the economy cars...now the p29 (pm7, etc) are dome pistons, these are not so good on economy or the mixing of the fuel and air, but in return you'll get a good compression bump...dome pistons are good for NA applications and nitrous (n2o LOVES compression, the more the marrier)...

there is a third type of piston, the flat top...these have been debated MANY times on their usefulness, since i don't know much about them (internal dynamic wise) i'll let someone chime that does know...

in the end you'll have to decide for yourself which type of piston you want...but for the record FJT has some AWESOME deals and combo rebuild packages with these different type of pistons...

The P2J pistons DID come from the JDM D15B 3-stage
It's connected to P07 (VX) conrods & PM3 (B1,2,8,7) crank , with P07 rings.
IIRC they're at 9.6:1 as stock compression.
Dunno the C.H. & dish c.c. though, sorry.

did the part number say 13010-P2J-000 or 13020 (+0.25mm) or 13030 (+0.50mm)? If yes that is the pistons for the d15z7 3 stage motor. If not gimme the part number I'll flip through the EPC to find a match is there is one.
