recently I had some starting issues in the morning ,my fuel pump took a long time before it could prime, changed my main relay ,still same thing.
Traced it all the way to the ecu ,many capacitors were leaking and transistor
Q3 (2SD1779) was fried .I changed all the caps but couldn't find Q3 in sg .
decided to start the car without it ,car started right up ,COULD NOT rev ,CEL ON !,I have a SAFC2 which showed me there was no throttle voltage even if I floored it .so when to a tech guy to find replacement for Q3(2SD1779)
here are the replacement transistor for Q3
2sc3070
2sd1164
2sd1583
2sd1582
2sd1581
the transistor I used was 2sc3070 ,problem solved for fuel pump and TPS .
I hope this info was useful to u guys .

How can you tell if the q3 is blown? I know what a bad capacitor looks like. I have an ecu that had the same problem, only caused no starts at time. I removed the ecu and replaced with a new one and have no issue. I was going to replace c14 and hope that fixes it though it looks good.

It's best if u replace all the caps at one go , if Q3 is blown you won't be able to accelerate and the check engine light will come on ,visual inspection of damage Q3 will show that the legs of the transistor will either be burnt or missing ,check below the PCB as well for burnt circuit tracks
