when you have an ecu chipped for the d15b and they convert it to vtec, make sure they do it with P08 maps and not p28 maps. Otherwise, you wont have the proper maps for the motor.

Yes it will work fine, like ^Hondaboy said, try to chip it for P08 maps.

Agreed... but make sure it does NOT have the ELD, Purge and Atmospheric Pressure (PA) sensors disabled.... or you will have trouble smogging... aside from the fact that a D15B is not smog legal in the US.... unless you convince them you bought a JDM RHD VTi and swapped the motor out of it....

This motor could fall under the "swapped out of that year or higher"... or whatever...

I dont know the smog laws up there, but in Cali, they are damned strict... and there is still massive amonts of smog coming from the san jose bay area....

they need to put vtec maps on the ecu anyways, so get them to do the p08 maps instead of the p28 maps.

agreed....

here's a P08 ROM, with all sensors and provisions that a P06 has enabled =)
