Hi guys,

I have read most of the topics, but can't find a solution to my problem.

So I have a d16y7 engine with D16y8 head JRSC @ 7psi

If I drive normal, under 4k rpm, maximum half throttle, no problem.

When I floor it the engine overheats after about 10 minutes (not even flooring it 10 minutes, just 2-3 pulls)

Radiator overflows, and so does my overflow tank.

What have I done/changed:
-Tried 2 radiators, single slot, and dual tucked
-New race thermostat
-New head gasket
-New radiator cap
-Double fans
-Fan override, so it turns on when the car turns on. (it didn't overheat so fast)

Does anyone have a clue what my problem could be? :S
Since I have a d16y7 I dont have a bleed nipple, so before every test,
I let the engine get warm with the radiator cap off, and fill the system when needed.

Thanks!

How is it tuned? Sounds like you have to much ignition timing.
It's tuned by Leo Van Drie in Holland
On my old hondata S300 v1
Now running a s300 v3 (same tune, have to get it retuned when I get my parts installed)

I had the problems with my V1 and V3

Do you need more information about the tune?

sure sounds like to much ignition, blown head gasket. D16Y8 heads have small fast burning combustion chambers. they prefer less ignition advance because of this.
