Well heres the thing, gotta a couple dollars extra coming in with tax returns and such, and I'd like to do one more significant upgrade before spring.

Car is a crx, which should make around 240whp. And will be used for some auto-x and hopefully at least a couple times drag racing. But mostly jsut street fun.

Option 1. Mfactory lsd. 650$

Option 2. Raxles axles and some BFG G-Force Street Slicks 600ish$

What would you guys do? And why?

Main reason I want axles is because the nearest strip is about 2.5 hours from me. Thats an expensive tow if I break an axle launching on slicks. Maybe I'm just paranoid.

i made so many passes on my stock axles, never had a problem except one day i tried to do a burnout for ever and the slicks just gripped too hard and shattered the inner CV cage.

i had a new axle installed in 1/2 hour and made my next pass.

BFG's aint slicks either. you will brake just as many parts on those as you will on street tires trying to launch the car.

Yet to break an axle....only because I didn't go big on the clutch.

NHRA Top Fuel and Funny Car, clutches don't fully lock up until 500 ft out.

NHRA Pro STock, clutches don't fully lock up until 3rd gear.

Just enough clutch, too much clutch or slick breaks parts.

Since it sounds like you plan on autocrossing and street driving more than drag, LSD and stock axles (put the money somewhere else). Stock axles are good enough and the BFG's won't help out with autocross.
