Hi Everyone, In 1991 I purchased a brand new honda civic si, it was my first brand new new car, I was 24 at the time. Man, I can still remember making a deal with the salesman at Orangeville Honda on HWY 9 just east of HWY 10. $15,300, fully loaded with A/C, power windows, and power locks. Back then, that was fully loaded because they didn't offer leather seats for that model. Back then there wasn't much in the way of after market stuff for the import market, for my fox Mustang you could get lowering springs if you ordered from california or someplace like that. I was customizing my little honda when there wasn't a market for it yet. Back then I had to buy an autotrader magazine to look for a car or the Triad newspaper or the buy and sell news paper lol. They truly were the good ole days. When looking for a car or parts you truly needed patience because there was no google to instantly find what you are looking for lol. I wanted to work for autotrader just to have a jump on good cheap car deals that the people that worked there had haha.
I hope to be making just as many contributions as I am to be searching for good tips and diy mods, repairs, etc.

I don't have that 91 civic any longer. I do however have a new to me 88 civic si with 140km and also a 92 civic si with a k20a motor and 6speed tranny. I am hoping to swap the k20 into the 88 civic si. Chat soon. Thank you

For some reason I must be doing something wrong. I tried to go into the above thread to include this info and I couldn't figure it out so my apologies for the dual thread....so, I joined the site back in 2008 when I bought a automatic civic si, it ended up being a dogs breakfast in terms of mechanical condition so I gave it to a friend for parts. 8 yrs later, I think I have an awesome condition si, it needed very little for a safety inspection and the body is in awesome condition. When I start the build, I will post pictures and details of the progress. Thank you

The k20 doesn't go perfectly in the EF chassis but with the right mounts to adjust height or tilt you can get em in without cutting the hood. The gangtsa lean mounts for instance allow the hood to shut with out cutting I believe, this swap is my first choice if I am going to change the motor on an chassis, it will be an ED/EF hatch with a K series for all sorts of reasons.

Of course a 3 liter v6 in my 92 sedan sounds sweet too.

In for more.
