ok the car is a 1993 honda civic and we replaced the alternator a month ago. last week the alternator blew so we did the replacement thing from autozone... today it blew again and swapped them out... then the battery light came on again so we hooked up a multimeter to the battery to monitor the voltage while driving... low rpms it was meh like 13.9-15.0.. higher rpms like 4k it goes to around 17-20 volts. we cant figure out whats going on...
fuse 12 on the under dash is not blown...
where is the eld circuit in a 5th gen civic?

its got a p28 ecu
chipped running crome.
with xenocron dataloging cable.
we tried disabling the ELD circuit but theres no luck there...
so we re enabled it...

any other thoughts?
maybe try different ecu?

seems fixed atm... we changed the alternator again... the 4th one. sanded down the ground points to clear up the crap build up and since there was really only one ground going from the frame to the trans, i took a cable from the drivers side and ran it to the iacvalve and another cable from the negative of the battery to the drivers side frame. then started her up for 15 min constantly watching the voltage it was flickering from 13.7-13.9 then held steady for 13.9 after that we ran it at 2k rpm and held steady at 14.3 volts. the drive back which was 80 miles was good...

the alternator from yesterdays replacement failed and was starting to put out 18v at higher rpm and then today before the swap was out at 27-28volts while driving... idled around 19-20 lol
