No use really. There really isn't any solid proof that they help at all. A lot of higher HP engine builders will actually block them off for more oil pressure to the bearings.

U'mmm all honda motors have oil squirters. Its either external or built in the rod. See that hole on the thrust side of the big end of the rod...Thats the squirter. and they do more then cool the piston. they get lubrication up to the wrist pin, they lubricate the thrust side of the cyl wall.

Honda did more research then any of these engine builders did. If the squirters didnt do anything, they wouldnt be there. Go see if your "built" engine last as long as a honda built motor. Better yet pull the piston from a stock motor vs a "built" motor with no squirters and show me the cyl walls and skirts are in better shape on the "built" motor after a good amoutn of mileage, say 100k.
