Hi.

I have problem with my engine drinking oil like crazy, and i can´t solve it.

D15b7. Head milled 0.030inch. Everything stock. (head gasked replaced a year ago)

Engine runs great, pulls hard and can reach it´s top speed. It does´nt feel tired in anyway.

Facts:

-220,000Km (i think it´s something like 136k Miles) Correct me if i´m wrong :)
-White/blue smoke.
-10w40 oil (quality)
-Eats a lot of oil during "engine braking" on higher Rpm´s.
-Eats a lot of oil when i floor the pedal (only over ~3000Rpm´s)
-Almost no oil is used then i drive like a granny, if any at all.
-No oil smoke on startup.
-No oil smoke on idle on red light, and accelerate.(Granny driving)
-No visible oil leaks.

Diagnostics and what i have tried already:

-Compression test:pSI [ 220.210.210.220 ] [with oil in cylinders= 300Psi easily]
-Valve stem seals replaced (two times :pinch:) No difference.
-PCV valve is good, and no smoke from the pipe when revving.
-No smoke from the "cover ventilation pipe" when revving.

I noticed a small play on the valves when i replaced the stem seals. The valve play in the valve guides is about 0.003-0.007 inch at most.(0.1-0.2mm) (springs off and valves "closed"/top) Normal/OK ?

Here is a video when i revving it, enjoy! lol: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oo2NNtnhjSs

My only guess now is worn valve guides. But im so confused about all this and so are all the people who tried to solve it. I could buy a new engine, but i want to know the problem first...

Thank you!

I'm tuned in.

Mine has done the same thing since I bought it. I have 117,000 miles on mine.

Mine will puff smoke when I hit a certain RPM range. (higher RPM range)

Your oil control rings are probably stuck.
Hmm, possibly. I read about this, some people suggest putting some WD40 in the piston chamber and let it work overnight. Then change/replace the oil 1 or 2 times. Sound a bit risky to me, or it should be ok ?

looks likeleaking hg imo
If it was the headgasket, would´nt the coolant be contaminated aswell since the coolant surrounds the pistonwalls ? Or the oil might flow between the gasket and head, and not gasket and block.. hmm:-?

Thanks, this got me thinking again...
