I keep seeing mentions of oil orifices inside Y7 and Y8 heads. I did a mini-me years ago (b7/z6 head), and remember taking the oil orifice out of the b7 block before putting the head on. I do not know if it is necessary on my current build...

I now have a built Y8 bottom end and recently put a Z6 head atop it. Runs great, good oil pressure at the gauge.

My question is whether or not I need to take it apart again to insert an orifice in the block. I am just paranoid that there is tons of oil getting to the head, and none flowing back to the crankcase. Let me know if this is necessary! Thanks!
