What are my options for obd2b dizzy and wiring harness plugging up to an obd1 ecu?

Gauges work fine until I hit vtec then my tac dies. Been looking everywhere for answers. The obd1 has an rpm wire, but my obd2b harness does not have an rpm wire to convert it with ease. Lots of people get stuck here I see. Anyone have any answers? I read using the crank sensor for the rpm wire, but I dont know how true it is. Is it even possible?

Why not run the ECU that goes with your Dizzy and harness?
Use a jumper harness OBD2 to OBD1 or vice versa

What is the body?
What is the engine?
What is the current ECU?
What is the current dizzy for?
What is the current harness from?

I can just picture the next kid to own this car .why no start.?

put a little thought into it not thot .

Look at the wiring diagrams of what you want to mate together, see what you have
fill in what you don't and hope for the best...

Your car does indeed have a tach/rpm wire

Grab it at the ecu harness.

But if you are doing an OBD conversion, teh harness adapter will use it anyways.

rpm/tach output going out with vtec is an issue you need to take care of.

You can also grab the signal from the rpm output of the ignition module.
